NACA (Nokomis Area Civic Association) is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that seeks to support our local community. Every year we host this event to benefit local kids and provide them with much-needed scholarships to summer day camp. Many kids in our community are from single-family homes and get stuck during the summer: school is out, their parents have to work, and childcare costs can be extremely expensive. So what are the kids and their families to do?

That's where we step in. NACA has partnered with Sarasota County Parks and Recreation and their 8-week summer day camp to offer scholarships for these kids. Camp runs from 8:30am to 4:00pm and also feeds them lunch, ensuring the kids are safe, happy, and in a structured environment. In the last 2 years, NACA raised enough money to sponsor up to 50 KIDS to attend summer camp! Please join us for Historic Nokomis Day and donate so we can send even more kids to summer camp this year.
